Wraps Lead in Indie Horror Short ‘June Below’

Christopher Prentice has completed filming his leading role as principal photography wraps on writer-director Eric Albert Branstrom's new independent horror short, June Below. The minimalist production stars Prentice as Father Daniel Morgan opposite Brianne Buishas.
In June Below, a dedicated priest grapples with a hidden horror and must make an unspeakable choice.
The production utilized an ultra-quick and lean process, with Prentice and Branstrom, acting as his own crew, finishing the principal shoot in one intense session in a single basement location. The bare-bones shoot focused on performance and unsettling atmospherics.
June Below marks the second collaboration between Branstrom and Prentice, after the ambitious longer short film Paula Takes the Stage, a period psychological thriller that premiered (and was partly filmed) at Chicago's historic Music Box Theater in January.
With principal filming complete, the short now transitions to post-production to prepare for an expected festival run.
